The BizWorld Foundation, in conjunction with the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) and Kerpoof, is proud to announce BizMovie, the recent creation of an integrated business, entrepreneurship, and computer-animated movie production curriculum.
This real-world simulation reinforces academic content and standards while infusing core 21st Century Skills through the discovery of business basics, venture initiatives, money management, and computer programming.
BizMovie Program Overview:
BizMovie, designed to resonate with 3rd-8th grade audiences, is the latest program from The BizWorld Foundation and focuses on similar concepts to BizWorld, but with the twist of utilizing technology and entrepreneurship to create animated movie production businesses. During the course of this twelve-hour program, students experience the entire entrepreneurial cycle as they work together to design, produce, market and sell tickets to their animated film.
A formal launch of the BizMovie Program will take place in April 2010.
BizMovie:
- Business and Technology program for 3rd – 8th grade students
- Correlated to academic and technology standards
- Infused with 21st Century Skills
- Prepare students for the real world through integrated, standards-based curricula using technology in a real world simulation
Program Requirements:
- Access to a class set of computers with internet capability
- Classroom of students
- Expected time commitment of 20 hours (prep, program and debrief)
