Spring is in the air and The BizWorld Foundation office is pleased to share our recent highlights! The key word this spring is "partnerships" with BizWorld staff busy on all fronts. The development team is reaching out to new corporate donors with exciting opportunities to impact students by hosting BizWorld and BizWiz Camps and Teacher Trainings, and our program group is very busy doing outreach locally and nationally from San Francisco, Denver, Salt Lake City to New York, delivering a variety of new and exciting programs including camps, teacher trainings and program kit distribution.
Please join us in our efforts to teach innovative education and inspire the next generation!
In this newsletter, we are excited to share with you information about our new partnerships and ways in which you can participate.

| Save the Date! BizWorld's Grand Prix IX |

The month of May is synonymous with many things, including professional race car driving events like the Indianapolis 500. As such, every May The BizWorld Foundation hosts its annual Grand Prix racing event at GoKart Racer in California. The exciting night of competitive racing raises vital funds for The BizWorld Foundation and is a unique opportunity to mingle with an amazing crowd of "Who's Who" of executives and employees from the venture capital, banking, and high-tech industries of Silicon Valley.
BizWorld's Annual Grand Prix IX will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. Included in this year's festivities we will begin with a "Race the Pro" race. Sponsored cars will have the opportunity to go head-to-head against up and coming professional driver J.R. Hildebrand, recently named to the prestigious Andretti Green Racing team (www.jrhildebrandracing.com). Get your tickets today by visiting our website at www.bizworld.org.

| New Corporate Sponsors! |
BizWorld is pleased to announce new corporate sponsors – Visa and LiveOps!

The world's leading credit card company recently granted The BizWorld Foundation with a generous donation of $20,000. Plans are underway to host a Camp BizWorld at Visa's corporate headquarters in California in the fall. With the assistance of Visa's volunteers, a local elementary school will be selected to experience the BizWorld program, sitting alongside Visa employees, learning from the best! "At Visa, we believe the most important financial tool to spur inclusive economic growth is not a product – it is knowledge. Our partnership with The BizWorld Foundation will help bring that tool to children around the world," stated Nathan Nayman, Head of Global Government Relations for Visa, Inc.
In addition to Visa, we are very pleased to share our newest sponsor LiveOps, a virtual call center company based in Santa Clara, CA. Nominated by LiveOps employee Michael Neril, BizWorld was chosen as the company's grantee recipient, establishing a long-term partnership for both organizations. BizWorld was chosen for the capacity of its programs to enhance and serve local schools and communities where LiveOps employees work and live. We look forward to working with LiveOps and delivering the BizWorld programs! |
| Vote Now! The Pete Conrad "Spirit of Innovation Awards" |

The next "big thing" you didn't know you couldn't live without is being developed by a team of high school students right now and they need your support. It's all part of an innovative program sponsored by The Conrad Foundation and named for Pete Conrad, the third man to walk on the moon and a veteran astronaut who flew Gemini, Apollo and Skylab. The Pete Conrad Spirit of Innovation Awards program, now in its second year, effectively combines education, innovation and entrepreneurship with the goal of shaping the workforce of tomorrow.
Students have submitted entries in the following categories: "Entrepreneurial Enterprise for Lunar Exploration", "Renewable Energy" and "Innovative Product for Use in Personal Spaceflight." Help us support our partner by voting for your favorite team at www.conradawards.org. By doing so you will be helping to reward innovative thinking amongst our youth and build up a new source of human capital. Please vote by April 3, 2009. |

Help make a difference at an early age by sponsoring the BizWorld programs in your local elementary school. For only $189, you can designate a classroom to receive a BizWorld kit or we will find a school in your area. Visit our website at www.bizworld.org and click on "Get Involved".
